About Munda
Creating together. Munda Foundation supports children and young people through art, music and local communities in Sierra Leone and Norway.
Background
Munda is a common family name in Sierra Leone and means “ours” in Mende. The name honors our uncle Munda Rogers, who devoted his life to helping others. He opened his home to families fleeing conflict, shared what he had, and gave children and youth a place to belong.
Munda Foundation continues this spirit through projects that build community and create opportunity. We believe in art and music as engines for development, based on collaboration, sharing and creation. Our work is carried out with local partners in Sierra Leone and Norway.
