Munda Foundation supports children and young people through art, music and community. We develop local activities together with partners in Sierra Leone and Norway.
Munda is a common family name in Sierra Leone and means “ours” in the Mende language. The name honors our uncle, Munda Rogers, who devoted his life to helping others. During the civil war, he opened his home to families fleeing conflict and shared everything he had with children and young people in need of a place to belong.
Munda Foundation carries this legacy forward through projects that build community and create opportunities. We believe in art and music as forces for development — not as charity, but as collaboration, sharing, and creation. Our initiatives are developed together with local partners in Sierra Leone and Norway, with the goal of giving more children and youth a space to grow, express themselves, and be seen.
